Can’t make it to SXSW in Austin this year? Fear not. Mashable and Twitter have you covered.
This year, we’re partnering with Twitter to stream "The Mashable Show" at SXSW 2017. We’ll be delivering a lively stream of obsessive SXSW coverage, focused on the best of Interactive, Film and Music, and we’ll dive into all things Austin. The 90-minute show will stream exclusively on Twitter on March 10, 11 and 12 at 1pm EST.
Yes, that’s right. We’ll be live right on your Twitter feed. So no matter where you are, you’ll have a front row seat to the best live music, film, comedy, and tacos that Austin has to offer.
This isn’t just any live show. It’s a live stream made for you, the superfan — so you’ll be able to participate in live Twitter conversations, ask questions, and vote in audience polls right on the platform.
Comedy writer and performer Kerri Doherty
The show will be hosted by Mashable Executive Editor Jessica Coen, Mashable Social Editor Tracey Edouard, comedy writer and performer Kerri Doherty and — drumroll, please — Cookie Monster.
It will also feature Mashable editors and writers Jason Abbruzzese, Tina Amini, Annie Colbert, Kerry Flynn, Dory Greenberg, Saba Hamedy, Sam Sheffer, Lance Ulanoff and Raymond Wong, among others. The show will be produced by Mashable Studios President Eric Korsh.
Did we mention Cookie Monster?
"Our 9 million Twitter followers make for one of the most influential and engaged audiences you’ll find anywhere," says Mashable Chief Content Officer Gregory Gittrich. "And if you’ve been to SXSW before, you’re familiar with the Mashable House, which is packed with the most exciting and creative people in town."
We’re not naming names (yet), but you might even say hi to a ~celebrity~ or two.
To watch, you’ve got three easy options: we’ll be streaming at sxsw.twitter.com, on Twitter’s "Explore" tab, and on @mashable. The show will be available worldwide to audiences (whether you’re logged in or not) on Twitter and all connected devices.
"The SXSW conversation unfolds in real time on Twitter every year," said Anthony Noto, COO at Twitter. "Thanks to this collaboration, our young and tech-savvy audience will have access to the live video stream of Mashable’s expert analysis and the related conversation all on Twitter.”
In the meantime, be sure to follow @MashableEvents on Twitter and sign up here to receive exclusive updates and announcements about Mashable at SXSW.
